About
Born in the US, I’ve lived in the Republic of Korea (that’s the one in the south, not the one with the pygmy) since 1991. During that time I’ve held a variety of jobs for the US government and private businesses in Korea. Currently I am teaching ESL part-time while I work on my first product as an independent game developer.
Hey mike,
Good to see your blog. Might be back in the ROK sometime soon for a visit. Keep in touch.
Jason
Hey, Jason. Great to hear from you. Email me!
G’day Mike,
Long time. Remember me, Sam? Jason sent me the link. Funny thing is I’d come here a few times before but I didn’t realise it was YOUR blog! I really enjoyed reading. You write well.
Sam
Sam! It’s only been two years or so, my memory hasn’t failed that badly yet. If you’re still in Korea, I’ll buy you a beer for the kind words
Thought you might enjoy today’s posting on my bookplate blog since you are a history buff:

Random question… what’s the best way to get to the Driver’s License Test Center? Can’t seem to find anything online.
Thanks!
@Nat
Assuming you’re in Seoul, Samseong station on line 2 (the green line) will get you close enough to walk in under 10 minutes. Go out either gate #1 or #2 (doesn’t matter which) until you see a sign on a side street that points toward the testing center.
Hey cuz, I’m finally checking out your blog after hearing about it from your dad months and months ago. It’s nice to know there is another liberal Parker out there. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving over there and maybe I’ll see you stateside one day.
take care, kim
Hiya, Kim
I always had you pegged as a member of the blue team. Glad to hear I was right!
The wife and I are planning a trip home early next year. We’ll see what we can do about swinging up your way for a few days. Never been to NY.
We’d love to see you in NY! As my dad says, “it’s a nice place to visit,” which is funny because it’s the same thing my husband says about Georgia.
