Inglourious Basterds
I’ve been waiting for this one. I’m a big Tarantino fan and was really looking forward to seeing a WWII story through his eyes. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but there’s no doubt that this is a Tarantino flick. The sudden deaths, the unexpected twists, the camera work, the music, the lines… his fingerprints are all over it. Think Pulp Fiction meets Reservoir Dogs meets WWII. Plus, it’s got Julie Dreyfus. What’s not to like?
So the wife and I saw it today. We both loved every minute of it. I’m not going to go into any detail about the story, but it’s a great ride. If you’ve never seen a Tarantino movie, this would be an excellent place to start.
