This has been a rather hectic holiday season for me. There’s quite a bit going on.
I’ve been keeping up with the exercise and better diet. I’ve now lost a total of 12kg (about 26lbs) since the beginning of November. Aside from having to buy new pants, that’s a fantastic feeling. I’m now only 8kg shy of my target weight of 90(198lbs). Then I’ll stop focusing so much on losing fat and concentrate on bulking up a bit.
I haven’t touched my computer for the past couple of weeks other than to check my email a couple of times. It’s been a few months since I’ve done any sort of programming. I’m usually not one for New Year resolutions, but this year I do plan to prioritize my programming tasks a bit differently. I’m going to put that game development stuff on the back burner for a bit and focus on my projects using the D language. My involvement in that community has already produced tangible results in the form of a book deal. Plus, people are actually using the projects I’m working with, so there are benefits to others as well. Much more gratifying than plugging away on code that may never result in anything that see the light of day.
There’s a great deal happening around me right now that would only be interesting to those who know me personally, so I’ll spare the rest of you the gory details. Regular posting to resume soon. And I do hope to focus a bit less on religion and politics and more on Korea and other, happier topics. I’m rather euphoric these days and don’t want to spoil it all ranting about doom and gloom.
Happy New Year!
