In yet more Muslim lunacy, Gillian Gibbons, the British school teacher in Sudan who was accused of insulting Islam, has now been found guilty and sentenced to 15 days in jail. The reaction of Robert Boulos, the director of Unity High School where Gibbons was teaching:
After the verdict, announced by judge Mohammed Youssef at 9pm, Boulos attempted to quell any lingering anger on the streets. “We are happy with the verdict,” he said. “It is fair. There were a lot of political pressures and attention. We will be very sad to lose her.”
Either he’s a moron or an appeaser. Nothing is fair about sending someone to jail for naming a teddy bear.
In the UK, some British Muslim groups had nobly “called for her acquittal, saying the case was harming Islam’s image.” What a laugh that is. Islam itself harms Islam’s image. Out of all of the kooky religions on the planet, it’s by far the worst. Not so long ago, I refused to give in to the urge to label all Muslims as loons. That sort of label I reserved for extremists. Now, I have no respect for anyone who subscribes to such a barbaric belief system. Those who do so demonstrate an utter lack of reason and are obviously void of humanity. And I’m rapidly coming to the same conclusion about all Christians and Jews, whose only redeeming qualities at present are that they aren’t blowing people up, murdering their daughters, or convicting innocent people for insulting a centuries-dead, ignorant Bedouin.
