Keith Olbermann on the Decider
When Olbermann launches into a Special Comment about the Decider, he often has a lot to say. And he’s often angry. In a recent Special Comment regarding the Decider’s annual unannounced trip to Iraq, he seemed a bit angrier than usual. He should be. So should all Americans.
The thing I like about Olbermann is that he expresses on television the anger I feel every time I read news about that idiot who is disgracing the Oval Office. I get angry when I realize that no one is doing anything about it. I get angry when I think about how much more damage is going to be done in time the Decider has remaining in his term. I get angry wondering why Congress is failing so miserably in righting all of the wrongs the Decider and his henchmen have wrought. I get angry when I see Rumsfeld, Rove and Gonzales able to resign without any consequence at all for their actions.
When I watch Olbermann, I hope that he is reaching someone new in his audience and not just preaching to the choir. I hope that those watching will get as angry as he is. When enough people finally do, we can take our country back again. Hell, even America’s nuns are stepping forward and demanding that Bush and Cheney be impeached.
If you are angry, do your part and contact your Representative. Let them know it’s long past time for Congress to get over their fear of political backlash and do what the Constitution has empowered them to do for situations just like this.
