More Offended Muslims
I get the impression that there aren't many groups of people who take offense at more things than Muslims. In Afghanistan, the US military decided to distribute a bunch of soccer balls to children and found themselves confronted with a demonstration. Some Muslims were offended because the Saudi flag, which itself includes a verse of the Koran, was printed on some of the balls. This sums it up:
Afghan MP Mirwais Yasini said: "To have a verse of the Koran on something you kick with your foot would be an insult in any Muslim country around the world."So instead of doing the sensible thing and trying to be a little understanding, which is something I was under the impression that most religions teach, several Muslims decided to ignore the goodwill behind the gesture and chose to get upset instead. It's another example of how religious belief and common sense are mutually exclusive.
