Goodbye, and Good Riddance, to Gonzo

Finally, Gonzales is heading home. The most bungling, incompetent, criminal Attorney General the nation has ever seen is finally gone. Of course, the Decider had to place his own stupidity on display again as a result:

President Bush on Monday said he reluctantly accepted the resignation
of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, whose “good name was dragged
through the mud for political reasons.

“After months of standing by his top prosecutor and “close friend,” Bush
spoke briefly in Texas to praise Gonzales, saying the attorney general
endured “unfair treatment that has created harmful distraction at the
Justice Department.”

Bush said it’s “sad that we live in a time when a talented and honorable person” is impeded “from doing important work.”

The cracks about the Idiot-in-Chief’s alternate reality are getting old now, so I’m rather at a loss of words. It’s quite mind numbing that after six years of incompetence and criminality, we still have the Decider standing up and saying garbage like this. What does that say about Americans?

What’s really sad is that Gonzo will likely never face any sort of punishment for his trampling of the Bill of Rights and facilitating illegal activity. Still, that’s one less scumbag wrecking our country. Now if we can just get rid of Bush and Cheney.
