Bush and Cheney have both frequently demonstrated their weak grasp of reality on numerous occasions. According to a New York Times article, Cheney has lost his tenuous grip and slipped out of our reality completely into the land of Preposterousness. Speaking to sailors aboard the U.S.S. John Stennis off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, the Dickster had this to say:
“I want you to know that the American people will not support a policy
of retreat,†Mr. Cheney said. “We want to complete the mission, we want
to get it done right, and then we want to return home with honor.”
Admittedly, I may be jumping to conclusions about the reality thing. An alternate explanation is that when he said “the American people” what he really meant was “the Bush Administration.”
