The Little Things Just Got Better
Last month I posted about the local McDonalds being open 24 hours and finally bringing McMuffins to Korea. I thought it was only the location near my house, but it seems many locations are now open 24 hours. I haven’t checked, but I assume they all have the new breakfast menu, too.
Now that I’ve had access to McMuffins again I remember why I rarely ate them back home. They really aren’t that great. Burger King’s Croissan’wich is much better. It’s also been available in Korea for quite a while now. Lately, I’ve been having one or two for breakfast a couple of times each week since I pass by a BK on my way home from an early English class. But this morning, I discovered something that really makes me happy.
In the post I linked to above, I mentioned how I love McDonald’s hotcakes and had only seen them here in Korea once, on a limited time basis. I woke up really early this morning. I was hungry but I didn’t feel like making breakfast and the local Itaewon BK wasn’t open yet. I decided to head to McDonalds for a McMuffin. The first thing I saw as I approached the front door was a big sign advertising new breakfast sets. One of them had hotcakes in the picture. I hurried inside and looked at the menu. McDonald’s hotcakes are truly here! And it’s a permanent thing!
Yeah, so I gorged on hotcakes for breakfast this morning. Now if IHOP and Waffle House would ever open over here I’d be in paradise.
