I’ve complained in this blog before that most people fail to do any sort of research when they hear something new from the government. Thanks to Google and other internet search engines, it’s quite easy to find old newspaper articles, TV interviews, press conferences, speeches and other sources of quotes from government officials so that a comparison can be made to what they are saying now. I’m not talking about what someone said twenty years ago, but things said more recently, in relation to current events. Most people just take what they hear in the news today and talk about it only until something else comes along.

Now, when it comes to what our government told us about Iraq, you don’t have to do a search to get the big picture. The authors of a recently published book have done the leg work for you, demonstrating the organized propaganda campaign that the Bush administration directed at the American people:
