Bush Should Die and Mohammed was a Moron

The world is overrun by idiots. In the US, the Decider spouts off about bringing democracy and freedom to the Middle East while blatantly trampling over our freedoms in America and accusing of supporting the terrorists those who want to stop him. In the muslim world, muslims insist they are peaceful, then turn around and get violent when people accuse them of being violent, or when someone steps on Mohammed’s toes.

While Bush and Blair have fumbled, stumbled and made large contributions toward fucking up the post-9/11 world, I’ve been holding out hope that there was some chance that sane heads would eventually prevail. Now I’m ready to concede that the world is on an irreversible course to a man-made disaster. It’s nothing new for the world to go mad, of course. History is rife with examples. I actually once expected that we had learned enough from history and advanced enough technologically that the more “advanced” countries could work together to stamp out the remaining regional lunacy and bring the world to a state of global peace and harmony. Then there was 9/11, then Bush sent America to Hell, and now the muslims around the world band together any time someone thumbs a nose at Mohammed.

If all it takes is an out-of-context quote or a silly newspaper cartoon to unite millions of muslims in a frenzy, what does that say about the future? How many on-the-fence muslims will fall over on the terrorist side? The War on Terror is transforming rapidly into a clash of civilizations. Once, we could confidently say that the terrorists were extremists. But as western leaders continue to incite the muslim nation, intentionally or otherwise, the war ceases to be about terrorism and becomes a matter of religion for more and more people.

The hatred, the misunderstandings, the misinformation, the propaganda, the emotional strain and so much more is adding up and gaining momentum on both sides. Ultimately, it’s all got to come to a head. The longer this goes on, the more significant that turning point will be. It’s like steam building up pressure in a pipe. We’ve got the needle in the red zone and it’s too late to turn it down.
